During the performance “Attics Of My Life” which came as the second encore to close out the final Fare Thee Well concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field, a special montage was shown on the video screens in the stadium depicting images from throughout the Grateful Dead’s 50 year career. The moving retrospective fit the moment perfectly and can be relived in the video below.

The fan-shot video captured by YouTube user sgibson818 focuses on one of the large video screens at Soldier Field that the montage was shown on. While “Attics Of My Life” is performed in the background, images of each of the past Grateful Dead members, as well as portraits of all of the Fare Thee Well musicians shot by photographer Jay Blakesberg, are cycled in the video. The clip also shows the band taking a final bow and hugging on stage as well as Mickey Hart’s message encouraging kindness.
