Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana was joined by his drummer wife Cindy Blackman Santana for a rousing rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner” before Sunday’s Game Two of the NBA Finals at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

While the hometown Golden State Warriors wound up losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in overtime, the crowd was treated to an unusual version of the anthem before the game was underway. Carlos and his wife delivered an instrumental version of the National Anthem that ends with a bit of shredding from the guitarist and Bay Area fixture. Watch how it went down:
