At the end of a first set featuring material from throughout their career, UM took the “Come Closer” mashup of The Beatles’s “Come Together” and “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails off the shelf. It had last been performed on August 21, 2013 -a span of 49 shows. The second set featured an interesting “Nemo” > “Eat” > “Nemo” pairing and saw the return of UM original “Uncommon” after 89 shows. For the encore, the sextet inserted the 2014 debut of Steely Dan’s “Hey Nineteen” in the middle of “Phil’s Farm.”
Earlier today Umphrey’s shared a clip of “All In Time” from their recent hometown run in Chicago that utilizes GoPro cameras giving us a view of what it’s like to be a rock star. Check it out:
