Umphrey’s McGee Announces UMBowl VII Quarters & Special Guests

Umphrey’s McGee will host their annual UMBowl VII interactive concert event at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on May 6 as part of a two-night stand at the Sin City venue that also includes a show on May 7. Now in its seventh year, UMBowl offers fans a chance to interact with the band in many ways, while integrating into the sextet’s live performance. Today, the band has revealed the themes for each “quarter” of the four-set performance as well as a pair of special guests.

For the first quarter of UMBowl VII, Umphrey’s McGee will present a “Raw Stewage” performance in which they string together past “Jimmy Stewarts” improvisations as voted on by fans. The second quarter will be an “All Request” set featuring selections picked by fans as part of a ballot ticketholders will receive. Q3 will be the first “All Improv” performance at an UMBowl after the success of UM’s first-ever All Improv set back in January. UMBowl VII’s fourth quarter will be a “Choose Your Own Adventure” performance in which multiple options will be presented on projection screens as the band plays with attendees able to determine the setlist via text message.
