Tyler Childers Teams With Travelin’ McCourys & Ricky Skaggs For ‘Spotify Singles’

Tyler Childers enlisted The Travelin’ McCourys, Ricky Skaggs and Larry Cordle to back him on his installment of the Spotify Singles series. Childers unveiled a new version of his own “House Fire” featuring The Travelin’ McCourys backed by a cover of Skaggs and Cordle’s “Highway 40 Blues” featuring both musicians.

Both songs were recorded at The Butcher Shoppe in Nashville and were co-produced by David Ferguson and William Garrett. The original version of “House Fire” appears on Childers’ Country Squire, which came out a year ago. Ricky Skaggs released his take on Cordle’s “Highway 40 Blues” in 1982.

Like Tyler, both Ricky Skaggs and Larry Cordle are from Lawrence County, Kentucky. Stream Tyler Childers’ Spotify Singles below:
