Tyler Childers announced his seventh studio album, Snipe Hunter, will be released on July 25 via Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records. The Kentucky-bred singer-songwriter introduced the record by sharing its lead single and longtime live staple, “Nose On The Grindstone.”

The highly anticipated follow-up to 2023’s Rustlin’ In The Rain was helmed by legendary producer Rick Rubin. Childers and Sylvan Esso's Nick Sanborn provided additional production. The tracklist for the 13-song collection has not been revealed.

Yesterday, Tyler Childers shared a cryptic video teasing new music. Casey Campbell stars in the video as a man getting a haircut before a hunting club meeting. The barber finishes and then calls for a customer named Oneida, the name of another previously unreleased song that Childers has been performing for years.

Fan-favorite “Nose On The Grindstone” dates back to 2017. The song has been played live by Tyler Childers nearly 200 times over the past eight years as per Setlist.FM statistics.

Tyler Childers stripped down “Nose On The Grindstone” in the studio. Childers is accompanied on the track by keyboardist Kory Caudill from his longtime band, The Food Stamps.

“Nose On The Grindstone” arrived accompanied by a new performance video. Watch the James Mackel-directed visual and stream the studio version below:
