Tyler Childers Releases Longtime Live Favorite ‘A Song While You’re Away’ For ‘Twisters’ Soundtrack

Tyler Childers shared his contribution to the soundtrack for the new Twisters movie. The film hits theaters July 19 with Twisters: The Album arriving the same day.

The country-filled Twisters: The Album also features songs from Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Charley Crockett and more. While Childers’ “A Song While You’re Away” was released today, it’s been in Tyler’s catalog for some time now.

Tyler last performed “A Song While You’re Away” live at Red Rocks on September 30, 2021, as per SetlistFM stats. But he’s been playing the song for some time now. Here’s a live version Tyler filmed for Red Barn Radio in 2016:
