Trey Anastasio Recruits Jon Fishman & Dezron Douglas For Trey Anastasio Trio Concerts At Mission Ballroom

Guitarist Trey Anastasio will be joined by Phish bandmate drummer Jon Fishman and TAB bassist Dezron Douglas for a three-night stand in Denver this June. Billed as the Trey Anastasio Trio, the project will play Mission Ballroom June 9 – 11.

Douglas had a chance to perform with Fishman at the end of his first tour as a member of the Trey Anastasio Band in Fall 2021. Fishman was behind the kit for the last four shows of the run after TAB drummer Russ Lawton tested positive for COVID-19. The TAB horn section was also absent due to positive COVID-19 test leaving just Anastasio, Douglas, Fishman, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and percussionist Cyro Baptista to take the stage for TAB shows in Pittsburgh, Washington D.C. and New York City.

Anastasio first used the Trey Anastasio Trio moniker for 2018 shows in which he was joined by the original TAB rhythm section of Lawton and bassist Tony Markellis. The trio format was used while keyboardist Ray Paczkowski recovered from surgery to remove a tumor.

Tickets for the Trey Anastasio Trio’s Mission Ballroom run go on sale this Friday, April 7. Pre-sale tickets will be available tomorrow (Wednesday, April 5) at 10 a.m. MT through Trey Tickets.
