Trey Anastasio Shares Ghosts Of The Forest ‘A Life Beyond The Dream’ Video

Trey Anastasio brought a project he called Ghosts Of The Forest on the road in April for nine concerts. The band played the same 21 songs in the same sequence each night to give the new material a narrative. Anastasio continues to post pro-shot video from the tour to YouTube by song in the order the tunes were played. The latest GOTF video shared by Trey to YouTube features a performance of “A Life Beyond The Dream” from April 6 at The Anthem in Washington D.C.

Ghosts Of The Forest featured Anastasio, Phish drummer Jon Fishman, Broadway vocalist Celisse and longtime Trey Anastasio Band members Ray Paczkowski on keyboards, Tony Markellis on bass and Jennifer Hartswick on vocals. The tour started with seven performances in the Northeast and concluded with visits to the Greek Theaters in Los Angeles and Berkeley.

“A Life Beyond The Dream” was an emotional highpoint that after plenty of dark songs and featured the reprise of “Don’t give up hope, keep dreaming.” The song came towards the tail end of each set and concluded with a powerful guitar solo from Trey. “A Life Beyond The Dream” was the first Ghosts Of The Forest tune performed by both Phish and TAB after the GOTF tour.
