Artist Jim Pollock is the subject of a new documentary from filmmaker Jay Patton currently expected to be released next year. A trailer for the feature length film about the linoleum block print guru who has provided artwork for Phish since the band’s early days was recently shared on Vimeo.

Pollock’s connection with Phish stems from his friendship with the band’s keyboardist Page McConnell, who appears in the film. Jim provided the artwork for flyers advertising many of the group’s early shows in Vermont as well as the cover art for the foursome’s debut album Junta. In 1995 he started creating limited-edition posters for select Phish shows and continues to do so through the present. He has also created posters for a number of other acts including Umphrey’s McGee, Primus, Twiddle and Greensky Bluegrass as well as festivals such as Bonnaroo and non-profit organization HeadCount.

Chicago’s Galerie F will host a Jim Pollock 30 Year Retrospective on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25. Head here for more information.
