The Tom Petty Estate continues to share music from the forthcoming Wildflowers project. A home demo of the never-before-heard song “There Goes Angela (Dream Away)” follows Petty's “You Don’t Know How It Feels” demo, which was unveiled in June. A release date for Warner Records’ upcoming Wildflowers project has not been announced.
Petty released the solo album Wildflowers in 1994. The legendary musician wrote and recorded a number of songs that didn’t make the cut. Tom spoke about putting out an expanded version of Wildflowers in interviews that took place in the years before his tragic death in 2017.

“The family and the band are in a joyful process of discovering the Wildflowers sessions and demos and wanted to share a tiny bit of that with the fans today,” Tom Petty’s daughter Adria Petty wrote on behalf of the Petty family in a statement that accompanied the release of the “You Don’t Know How It Feels” demo. “There Goes Angela (Dream Away)” premiered on SiriusXM and can be downloaded by fans that complete a Wildflowers quiz on TomPetty.com.
Audio of the track has surfaced on YouTube as pointed out by Stereogum. Stream “There Goes Angela (Dream Away)” below:
