For the second year in a row, the Tibet House benefit concert will be held virtually for its 2022 installment with a livestream airing via Mandolin on March 3 starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Trey Anastasio, Patti Smith and Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit will be among the performers for an evening celebrating Philip Glass‘ 85th birthday.

Glass once again has curated the lineup and will serve as its Artistic Director. Keanu Reeves, Laurie Anderson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Angélique Kidjo, Margo Price, Punch Brothers, The Fiery Furnaces, Tenzin Choegyal, Rubin Kodheli and The Scorchio Quartet are also set to perform. Additionally, Iggy Pop and Bernard Sumner will provide “special greetings.” More participants will be announced soon.

Proceeds benefit Tibet House US, “a non-profit educational institution and cultural embassy founded in 1987 at the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to ensure the survival of the unique Tibetan civilization.” This year marks the 35th edition of the benefit concert, which is usually held at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Various ticket options and donor digital tables for the Tibet House Virtual Benefit 2022 are on sale now through Mandolin’s website. Mandolin will reprise its role from last year as a full creative and fundraising partner in the event.
