A conversation between The Avett Brothers and filmmaker Judd Apatow and another featuring Dead & Company band mates Bob Weir and Oteil Burbridge are among the latest additions to Thriving Roots: A Virtual Community Music Conference. The Americana Music Association Foundation will host the virtual conference between September 16 – 18.
The Avett Brothers and Apatow will discuss the intersection of film and music, while Weir and Burbridge will explore the inspiration and influence of Black musicians on the music of the Grateful Dead. Another newly added panel will find Chris Thile moderating a chat between Sarah Jarosz and John Leventhal, the producer of Jarosz’s recently released World On The Ground Album.
