[Updated] The Soul Rebels Reveal More Brooklyn Bowl Guests & Webcasts

    All three of The Soul Rebels Brooklyn Bowl concerts will be available to watch via webcast beginning tonight. The three-night stand is being streamed live by nugs.tv who is offering a three-night pass for those wishing to catch all of the guest-filled sets. Head here to purchase the webcasts.

New Orleans-based brass ensemble The Soul Rebels will host a three-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York on February 25, 26 and 27. The 8-piece band has revealed a number of additional special guests who will be appearing during the run.

Joining The Soul Rebels on February 25 will be New Orleans bounce music performer Big Freedia. The show on the 26th with feature hip-hop artists Talib Kweli and Kirk Knight of Pro Era, as well as the newly confirmed Buckshot of Black Moon and Smif N Wessun, along with other surprise guests. The final evening will feature a return appearance by Kweli and previously confirmed keyboardist Nigel Hall, as well as just-added rapper Rakim and other surprise performers. DJ Natasha Diggs will serve as opening act during the stand.

“We’re fired up to be returning to Brooklyn again with a cast of impressive special guest artists joining us, ranging from New Orleans queen of bounce Big Freedia to hip hop legends and icons Rakim and Talib Kweli to powerhouse soul singer Nigel Hall and others,” said The Soul Rebels co-founder Lumar Leblanc. “We’re bringing some eclectic guests and serious heat and funk to the Brooklyn Bowl stage along with us. And we have new songs we’re thrilled to bring to our NYC fans.”
