The Smile Details Live Album Recorded At Montreux Jazz Festival 2022
A video of the performance including a new song is set to premiere today.

The Smile will release their debut live album, The Smile At Montreux Jazz Festival July 2022, digitally on Wednesday, December 14. The band featuring Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood as well as Sons of Kemet’s Tom Skinner is also set to premiere a live video of the performance today at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT via YouTube available for 48 hours only.
The Smile At Montreux Jazz Festival July 2022 contains selections from the trio’s performance at the famed festival held on the shores of Switzerland’s Lake Geneva, following in the footsteps of legendary artists like Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Wu-Tang Clan, Nile Rogers and more who have released live albums from Montreux. The Smile’s live record from the Swiss festival boasts performances of songs from the band’s debut studio album, A Light For Attracting Attention.
The video set to premiere today also includes the debut of a new song, “Bending Hectic,” which The Smile wrote ahead of their Montreux performance. Watch a trailer for The Smile’s Montreux play below:
