The Rolling Stones Start Up America Latina Olé Tour In Chile

The Rolling Stones began their America Latina Olé Tour last night in Santiago, Chile with a show at Estadio Nacional. Among the highlights of the hits-filled set was a performance of “She’s A Rainbow” by the band for the first time since 1998.

Frontman Mick Jagger kicked the night off by leading the group through their common opening sequence of “Start Me Up” and “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It).” A few songs later, The Stones played the nightly fan-request, which last evening turned out to be the bust-out rendition of “She’s A Rainbow,” last played on September 16, 1998.

Mid-set, guitarist Keith Richards provided lead vocals on the “You Got The Silver” and “Happy.” The rest of The Stones’ performance featured such classics as “Wild Horses,” “Paint It Black,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Sympathy For The Devil” and the set closing “Brown Sugar.” For the encore the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers continued welcomed a local choir to back “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” ahead of the night ending “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

Audience-shot footage of “She’s A Rainbow” captured by Ismael QuiroGallardo can be seen below:

Next up for the America Latina Olé Tour is a stop in Buenos Aires for a concert at La Plata Stadium on Sunday, February 7.
