The Revivalists Welcome Guest For Allen Toussaint Tribute

This week bands from many genres have paid tribute to Allen Toussaint following the announcement of his death from a heart attack. We’ve told you about Greensky and Pink Talking Fish’s tributes as well as what Dead & Company had in store. On Wednesday night New Orleans’ own The Revivalists honored Toussaint with a special guest in Charlottesville.

The Revivalists were joined by 19-year-old guitar virtuoso Marcus King towards the middle of their set at Charlotteville’s Jefferson Theater on Wednesday night for a tribute to Allen Toussaint. King and The Revivalists treated fans to an energetic take on Toussaint’s funk classic “Sneakin’ Sally Through The Alley.” Watch fan-shot video of the cover thanks to ezrasunrise:
