The Revivalists Honor Prince On Halloween

On Halloween night The Revivalists brought their never-ending tour to the 9:30 Club in Washington, where the band worked five Prince covers into their 17-song performance.

David Shaw and Co. kicked off the festivities with “Let’s Go Crazy” and filled the main set with a mix of originals and “1999,” “Kiss” and “When Doves Cry.” Gedeon Luke helped out on “Kiss.” For the encore, The Revivalists ended the night with three songs that included an incendiary “Purple Rain.”
