By Scott Bernstein Aug 8, 2019 • 11:49 am PDT
Neil Young and Promise of The Real will play the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre in Indianapolis on September 19. The concert will be Young’s first with the group since ending a tour of Europe last month.
Last week, Neil revealed a tour he had planned for later this year had been postponed until 2020. “It’s right on our way to Farmaid and we couldn’t resist!,” Young wrote on Neil Young Archives of the new date. Neil Young’s last “solo” (non-CSNY) performance in Indianapolis took place during the 1997 H.O.R.D.E. tour as per Indy Star.
The only other concerts on Young’s current touring itinerary are a slot at the Harvest Moon Gathering benefit in Lake Hughes, California on September 14 and his usual appearance at Farm Aid, which will be held at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wisconsin on September 21. Tickets for Neil and POTR’s Indianapolis debut go on sale this Friday, August 9 via Neil Young Archives.
