The Marcus King Band will issue a new EP entitled Due North on October 27 through Fantasy Records. The upcoming release features three new studio tracks along with a 15-minute live medley recording.

The three studio cuts were tracked during sessions with producer Warren Haynes for the band’s 2016 self-titled sophomore album. Included are the originals “What’s Right” and “Slip Back,” as well as a cover of the Marshall Tucker Band’s “This Ol’ Cowboy.” The EP closes with a live track made up of a medley beginning with the band’s “Sharry Barry,” followed by transitions through Jeff Sipe’s “Sliced Milk,” Chicago’s “25 Or 6 To 4,” Funkadelic’s “I’ll Stay” and Billie Holiday’s classic “Gloomy Sunday.”

“The Due North EP is a love note from the band of words we didn’t get to say,” stated Marcus King. “Songs that are a big part of our live repertoire that we would like to share with everyone.”
