A few weeks after their Inauguration Day appearance, The Avett Brothers returned to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert as musical guests on last night’s episode of the CBS talk show. The group performed the title track to their Grammy-nominated LP True Sadness.
The Avetts issued True Sadness, their ninth studio LP and follow-up to 2013’s Magpie & The Dandelion, via American/Republic Records last June. The album earned The Avetts Grammy Award nominations in the Best Americana Album category as well as Best American Root Performance for the album track “Ain’t No Main.”
