The Terrapin Family Band will take the stage with guitarist Eric Krasno and a “very special unannounced guest” tonight, August 1 at The Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, California for a celebration of Jerry Garcia‘s 82nd birthday. A free livestream of the concert is available with a nugs.net subscription.
Tune in to watch the free webcast starting at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT. The Terrapin Family Band consists of guitarist Grahame Lesh, multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, bassist Ross James and drummer Alex Koford.

The group takes its name from Terrapin Crossroads, the shuttered restaurant/venue operated by Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh and his wife Jill in San Rafael, California, where the musicians initially came together. Phil Lesh employed The Terrapin Family Band as his main backing ensemble in the late 2010s.
The Terrapin Family Band will also team with Krasno next weekend at Cervantes’ in Denver on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10. Peter Rowan will join the group on the 9th with Ivan Neville on board on the 10th.
