Tenacious D Offers ‘Wonderboy’ Tour Debut In Washington DC

Comedy-rock outfit Tenacious D has stuck to a similar script for most of the four shows that have taken place on the group’s current tour in support of Post-Apocalypto. The D changed it up a little bit last night at The Anthem in Washington D.C., where they fit the tour debut of classic “Wonderboy” within the encore.
Each show on the tour starts with a full performance of their recently released album accompanied by video from their Post-Apocalypto web series. Frontmen Jack Black and Kyle Gass then lead their three-piece live band through selections from their previous LPs as the second part of the evening. On Wednesday, JB and KG dusted off “Wonderboy” from their 2001 self-titled debut album to kick off an encore that also included “Fuck Her Gently” from the same record.
