John Mayer Sets April 2027 Sphere Shows With Solo, Full-Band & Trio Performances

John Mayer has played Sphere with Dead & Company. In April 2027, he’ll return to the high-tech Las Vegas venue for six concerts under his own name, moving between solo performances, his full band and the John Mayer Trio each night.

The shows are scheduled for April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18. Mayer’s solo portion will lean on acoustic guitar, with piano and electric guitar also planned. The trio reunites him with drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino. Mayer previously used the three-part format on his 2017 The Search For Everything Tour.

The announcement follows a busy weekend for Mayer at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Austin. He joined Trey Anastasio for two Phish songs on Sunday after sitting in with Tedeschi Trucks Band during Saturday’s set. With Dead & Company, Mayer played 48 Sphere concerts across the band’s 2024 and 2025 residencies.

The presale begins Wednesday, October 7 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by a SiriusXM listener presale Thursday, October 8 and the general on-sale on Friday, October 9 at 10 a.m. PT. VIP packages and concert-and-hotel packages go on sale Wednesday, September 30 at 10 a.m. PT.

One dollar from each ticket sold will benefit Mayer’s Back To You Fund. Tickets for each show will also be auctioned to benefit the Heart and Armor Foundation, which Mayer founded to support veterans’ health.
