Televised Tune | Gov’t Mule Visits Conan And Leno Welcomes Trombone Shorty

By Scott Bernstein Sep 9, 2013 6:00 am PDT

Wednesday night stands out as a big night on late night TV for two of jam acts of note. Conan O’Brien brings Gov’t Mule to his TBS show in support of Shout!, though we do take issue with the listing for Warren Haynes and Co. on the Conan website . A description of the band concludes, “Just follow the sounds of hackeysack till you hit their concert.” We don’t see much hackeysacking going on at Mule shows, (or any concerts, it’s not 1994 anymore) not to mention they might want to replace the publicity photo featuring founding bassist Allen Woody, who tragically died over 13 years ago. Meanwhile, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue visit the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday as well.
