Tedeschi Trucks Band & Los Lobos Swap Sit-Ins At Wolf Trap In Virginia

On Sunday night The Wheels Of Soul Tour continued for Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos and North Mississippi Allstars at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia. There’s already been plenty of sit-ins throughout the tour and the trend continued on Sunday.

North Mississippi Allstars kicked off the festivities with a set that saw vocalists from the Tedeschi Trucks Band guest on a cover of Mississippi Fred McDowell’s “Back Back Train.” Los Lobos took the stage next for a nine-song set that included Susan Tedeschi leading the group on a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and Derek Trucks add to the “Mas y Mas” finale.

The TTB headlined with a 12-song main set and three-song encore. Guitarist David Hidalgo and his Los Lobos band mate saxophonist Steve Berlin emerged in the middle of the set for a cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’.” Hidalgo fronted the TTB for the song as he did on Friday when The Tedeschi Trucks Band debuted the cover in Bangor.

The Wheels Of Soul Tour continues on Wednesday in Bethel, New York.
