A tradition will continue this fall when Tedeschi Trucks Band returns to The Beacon Theatre in New York City for a seven-show residency. Additionally, the TTB released audio featuring their cover of “Little Wing” performed with Trey Anastasio of Phish and Doyle Bramhall II from Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN’), a live album due through Fantasy Records on July 16.

The entire 12-piece Tedeschi Trucks Band will play The Beacon Theatre on September 30 and October 1, 2, 5, 6, 8 and 9. Wilco guitarist Nels Cline and his Consentrik Quartet are aboard to open on September 30 with Anders Osborne as support on October 5 and Jorma Kaukonen to kick off the action on October 6. The other four shows will feature two full TTB sets. Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday, June 18 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.

Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN’) documents the TTB’s performance of Derek & The Dominos’ famed Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs album with Anastasio and Bramhall from the 2019 LOCKN’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia. The band and their guests tore through Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing,” which Derek & The Dominos recorded for Layla, towards the end of the set. JamBase readers voted the “Little Wing” performance as the runner-up in the inaugural JamBase March Madness Covers Tournament.
