TajMo Returns: Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’ Announce 1st Album Together In 8 Years

Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ joined forces once again for their upcoming collaborative album, Room On The Porch, which will be released on May 23 via Concord Records. The pair shared the album’s title track and confirmed a run of tour dates in support of the pending record.

Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ released their debut album, TajMo, in 2017. The collaborative effort earned the two veteran musicians the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album.

“That first album turned out so great that part of me wondered if maybe we just got lucky,” Keb’ Mo’ jokingly said of working with Taj Mahal again. “But when we got back into the studio together, I felt that same magic again, and I realized it wasn’t luck at all.”

Co-produced by Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’, Room On The Porch, is comprised of 10 new songs, many co-written by the duo. Vocalist Wendy Moten appears on the song, “Better Than Ever.” The title track features the song’s co-writer Ruby Amanfu.

The TajMo 2025 Tour supporting Room On The Porch begins on May 23 in Nashville at The Grand Ole Opry. Ruby Amanfu will also appear at that show.

The pair then heads to New York City for a performance at The Town Hall on May 28.TajMo continues in Sidney (Maine) on May 30 followed by a show in Hammondsport (New York) on May 31. The tour reaches Hyannis (Massachusetts) on June 1 and Concord (New Hampshire) on June 3. Next comes a performance in South Deerfield (Massachusetts) on June 4.

The duo then plays Bensalem (Pennsylvania) on June 6 and Selbyville (Delaware) on June 7 before a concert in Vienna (Virginia) on June 8. From there, TajMo heads to Huber Heights (Ohio) on June 10.

The tour wraps up with a series of Midwest performances starting in Michigan with a show in Grand Rapids on June 12, followed by Interlochen on June 13. Highland Park near Chicago will host the two musicians on June 14. The final TajMo show takes place in Detroit on June 15.

Pre-orders of Room On The Porch completed by 12 p.m. noon ET on Sunday, February 23 will come with access to presale tickets go on sale on Monday, February 24. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 28.
