The String Cheese Incident Unveils Geographical Themes & Special Guests For 2024 Red Rocks Run

Colorado’s The String Cheese Incident returns to the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver July 12 – 14 for the band’s only home-state appearances of 2024. Today, SCI revealed the themes for each night of the Red Rocks run as they honor their 30th anniversary by celebrating three regions of the country that played a huge role in their musical development.

Cheese will present The New Orleans Incident at the Morrison, Colorado venue on Friday, July 12. The tribute to the Crescent City will feature special guests from NOLA bassist George Porter Jr., keyboardist Ivan Neville, guitarists Tony Hall and Ian Neville, drummer Deven Trusclair and the Dumpsta Horns as well as vocalist Tarriona “Tank” Ball of Tank and the Bangas.

On Saturday, July 13, SCI will deliver The Colorado Incident in tribute to the state that has hosted the band since its formation. The sextet will go it alone in presenting an evening with The String Cheese Incident.

The 2024 Red Rocks run will conclude on Sunday, July 14 with The Nashville Incident. As previously announced, Cheese will be joined at the finale by bluegrass musicians Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and Sierra Hull. The String Cheese Incident — who encourage fans to dress for each of the themes — also noted they will team with Nova Sky Stories to bring the first-ever drone show to Red Rocks in honor of the band’s 30th anniversary.
