Little Feat Keeps Special Guest Streak Going With Jeff Pevar In Grass Valley

Little Feat’s run of special guests continued Tuesday night when guitarist Jeff Pevar joined the legendary band during their concert at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, California.

Pevar’s appearance came one night after Grahame Lesh & Miko Marks sat in with Little Feat during the band’s concert at the Fox Theater in Oakland. The previous weekend, Jackson Browne and Leslie Mendelson joined the group for multiple songs in Los Angeles.

The latest stop on Little Feat’s The Last Farewell Tour featured Jeff Pevar coming out for the end of the electric portion of the second set. Pevar, best known for touring with David Crosby, Phil Lesh and Jazz Is Dead, has made numerous guest appearances with Little Feat since 2003.

The guitarist first came out for a performance of “Mellow Down Easy,” the Little Walter blues classic sung by percussionist Sam Clayton that Little Feat has long included in its repertoire. Pevar remained onstage for the ensuing “Dixie Chicken,” one of Little Feat’s signature songs. The collaboration continued into “Tripe Face Boogie” before Pevar departed and the band brought the night to a close with “Let It Roll.”

Little Feat launched The Last Farewell Tour this year as the band embarks on a multi-year run marking the end of its touring career. The 2026 portion of the trek continues with dates across the country through November 21.
