Railroad Earth Announces Guest-Filled New Album ‘Will Of The Water’

For the past seven months Railroad Earth has been rolling out previews from their first new studio album in four years. Today, the Americana act announced the 11-track LP, entitled Will Of The Water, is set for release on September 18 via Ineffable Records.

Railroad Earth, currently celebrating their 25th year as a band, recorded the follow-up to 2022’s All For The Song at lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Todd Sheaffer's Fort Nonsense studio over two weeks in the summer of 2025.

Will Of The Water is the only RRE album to date featuring multi-instrumentalist Mike Robinson, bassist Dave Speranza and keyboardist Matt Slocum. Both Robinson and Speranza departed the band last fall and were replaced by George Guthrie and Andrew Ryan respectively. This album captures the lineup before those changes.

Will Of The Water features guest appearances from longtime RRE collaborators Paul Hoffman, Daniel Donato, Lindsay Lou and Ronnie McCoury. Pre-order bundles are live now for vinyl copies of Will Of The Water as well as test pressings and more.

Railroad Earth will continue their 25th Anniversary Tour through November. The Northwest New Jersey-bred band concludes the trek with their annual Horn O’ Plenty Thanksgiving Weekend concerts at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania November 27 – 28.
