Rod Stewart Calls Off Farewell Tour Dates After Heart Surgery

Rod Stewart canceled the remaining 2026 dates of his ongoing One Last Time Farewell Tour. The decision follows a coronary stent procedure the legendary rocker underwent and the postponement and cancelation of a few recent dates.

Stewart initially postponed his concert last Sunday, August 9 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati. An announcement from the venue stated the postponement was due “to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention.” The singer then canceled his Tuesday night show at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena before scrapping his entire 2026 schedule yesterday afternoon.

“Following further medical evaluation, Sir Rod Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure. Doctors are pleased with his recovery, and Rod is doing very well and has returned to his normal daily activities,” started a statement shared on Stewart’s Instagram account.

“On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.”

The note ended with mention that “information regarding affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues.”

Stewart added: “I’m already feeling better and very much on the mend. I want to thank the doctors, nurses and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me. I’m deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again.”

The 81-year-old icon was scheduled to perform through September 13 in North America. Dates affected include a six-night Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
