SCI launched their first set on Thursday by linking “These Waves” and “Djibouti Bump” with a typically extended “Black Clouds.” Fan-favorite “Shine” came next before the band played Lend Me A Hand bonus track “Windy Mountain.” The breezy “Get Tight” followed along with a set-closing “Shantytown.”
Adventurous versions of “Rivertrance” and “Rhythm Of The Road” began Cheese’s second set of their 2024 International Incident. The sextet then lit into New Grass Revival’s “Can’t Stop Now” ahead of originals “Drifting” and “Can’t Wait Another Day.” From there, The String Cheese Incident capped the frame with well-jammed takes on “Into The Blue” and “Restless Wind.”
Drummer Michael Travis introduced Hartswick and Cressman as the band returned for the encore. Jennifer and Natalie each had a chance to shine during the ensuing “I Wish.” The String Cheese Incident had only covered the Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life classic once prior in 2024.
