Stream This | Warren Haynes & Railroad Earth – Ashes & Dust

This Friday Warren Haynes will release Ashes & Dust, a 13-track studio album featuring Railroad Earth, Grace Potter and other guests. Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog has premiered the LP, giving us a chance to enjoy Ashes & Dust a few days early.

“There are some people that really know me as a guitar player who might think this is really different from what I’ve done, and I guess it is in some ways,” Haynes told Speakeasy about the LP. “But there’s plenty of guitar playing on this record, it’s just surrounded by acoustic instruments.” Ashes & Dust contains a mix of songs Haynes has long performed along with a handful of brand new tunes. The album also features a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman” featuring Grace Potter.

The new album is available for pre-order via Haynes’ website. Warren Haynes and Railroad Earth perform at Town Hall in New York City on Thursday night.
