On June 29 Neil Young will release his new protest album, The Monsanto Years, featuring the legendary rocker backed by Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real. Young has unveiled a free stream of the new LP one week early via The Guardian.

Neil Young not only takes aim at Monsanto on the “ecologically-focused album” but other multi-national corporations including Starbucks and Chevron. As Pitchfork notes, Monsanto and some other corporations that Young criticized on The Monsanto Years have refuted Neil’s claims. Neil Young has played some of the songs from the new LP at a few impromptu gigs in Hawaii and California backed by Promise Of The Real which features Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson.
