Stream This: Mike Gordon Leads Phil Lesh & Friends At Big Bass Bash

By Scott Bernstein Jul 19, 2016 7:19 am PDT

As we reported, Phish bassist Mike Gordon spent his day off on Sunday at Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, California. Gordon played two lengthy sets and a long encore with a version of Phil & Friends featuring Mike and Phil joined by Jackie Greene on guitar, Barry Sless on guitar and pedal steel, Jason Crosby on keys and John Molo on drums. Mike, Phil and the gang played an inspired mix of Grateful Dead and Phish songs as well as a batch of covers. Nicki Bluhm and members of The Infamous Stringdusters also got in on the fun at points.

We’ve been waiting for audio to surface of Terrapin Crossroads’ Big Bass Bash and thanks to the efforts of Z-Man a crispy audience recording is here. We’ve shared audio of some of the songs Mike led for your listening enjoyment.
