Strand Of Oaks Shares Captivating ‘Party At Monster Lake’ Single

Strand of Oaks released the new song “Party At Monster Lake.” The track is the latest advance preview of Miracle Focus, a new album due out via Western Vinyl on June 7.

Primary member Timothy Showalter prepped the forthcoming 10-track LP with longtime collaborator Kevin Ratterman. Guest vocals on the follow-up to 2021’s In Heaven were provided by Lacey Guthrie.

“‘Meet me in that special place.’ This song is a strong follower of the ‘Island Of Misfit Toys’ theory,” Showalter wrote in a social media post announcing the new single. “It’s so easy to be lonely in this world. I’ve struggled with it my whole life. ‘Party At Monster Lake’ is for all us misfit toys. Never knew quite where to fit in or wondering how the hell we landed in this body.”

Strand Of Oaks will take Miracle Focus on the road for a series of summer tour dates. Timothy Showalter and Kevin Ratterman will perform the album in its entirety along with “some reimagined Oaks classics.”
