To begin we have the second set opener, “The Curtain” > “Runaway Jim” followed by “Guelah Papyrus.” I love the perfect balance of tight precision and looseness of groove on display here, the fun effortlessness with which they cut through the material. Then, from the end of the set, there’s a memorable “Love You” complete with band introductions into “Big Black Furry Creatures From Mars,” and finally, from early in the first set, a great version of “You Enjoy Myself” with a particularly good vocal jam. As always, enjoy!
