Spafford kicked off a two-night run at Charleston Pour House in Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday. The Arizona-based jam quartet unveiled a new song, “Duncan’s Uncle,” to wrap the first set.
Spaff got the show underway with “Fünkenseven” before drummer Nick Tkachyk handled lead vocals on a cover of Filter’s “Take A Picture.” Recently debuted original “Motel 6” came next, followed by “Backdoor Funk.” The band then debuted “Duncan’s Uncle.”

After an intro full of jazz chords and piano stylings from newest member Cory Schechtman, guitarist Brian Moss handled lead vocals on the new tune. The beginning of the song gave way to a breezy segment with bounding bass from Jordan Fairless and more lyrics by Moss from which the band embarked on a vibey extended jam. All told, the debut clocked in at over 19 minutes.
