James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell & More Join Sheryl Crow At Newport

Sheryl Crow held a guest-filled set on Friday at the Newport Folk Festival at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island. James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Jason Isbell each accompanied Crow and her band during the set.

Carlile was onstage with Crow for “If It Makes You Happy” and George Harrison’s “Beware of Darkness.” Morris, Carlile’s band mate in the supergroup The Highwomen (who performed Friday at Newport with Isbell and many others), came out next to join Crow on “Prove You Wrong,” which the pair also recorded for Crow’s upcoming album, Threads. Isbell then emerged to assist on a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Everything Is Broken,” which he also recorded for Threads.

Taylor made a surprise appearance at the end of the set. The renowned singer-songwriter accompanied a performance of Crow’s “Everyday Is A Winding Road” that also featured Benmont Tench on keyboards. Watch audience-shot video of the collaborations below:
