Sharon Van Etten released a cover of Nick Lowe‘s “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding.” The single features Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme.

Van Etten shared the note below about recording the collaborative cover:

When my friend Zach Dawes first suggested we try to cover Nick Lowe’s timeless song, “Peace, Love, & Understanding,” I was nervous and excited and wondered what direction we would take it together. The journey from then to now, and the unexpected collaboration that transpired (with Joshua Homme, Jay Bellerose, Dave Palmer, Charley Damski, Michael Shuman, and Loren Humphrey) leaves me wistful as I remember how lucky I am to have such a great community here in Los Angeles. I’ve been looking forward to sharing this special track with you, as it seems especially significant during these trying times. Here’s to hope in humanity and community.
