Seth Avett Covers Otis Redding’s ‘That’s How Strong My Love Is’

The Avett Brothers’ Seth Avett shared a video of the Otis Redding popularized “That’s How Strong My Love Is.” Avett took to Instagram to share the choice cover.
Roosevelt Jamison originally wrote “That’s How Strong My Love Is” with the first recording by O.V. Wright in 1964. It has also been covered by The Rolling Stones, The Hollies and many more. The song appears on Redding’s 1965 album, The Great Otis Redding Sings Soul Ballads, and is one of his signature songs. For the recent cover, Seth delivered the Redding arrangement on his resonator guitar.
