The Outlaw Music Festival came to Northwell Health At Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York on Saturday. Outlaw’s Long Island stop was bookended by members of the Nelson family as Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real kicked off the main stage action which was headlined by Willie Nelson and the day also featured a performance from Micah Nelson under his Particle Kid moniker. A set from country singer Margo Price was up next. Lukas emerged during Sheryl Crow’s appearance to sit-in on a cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Midnight Rider.” The Avett Brothers fit a cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released” into a set that also featured “True Sadness,” “Head Full Of Doubt/Road Full Of Promise” and more. Outlaw country icon Willie Nelson brought his son Lukas out for portions of a set that included “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys,” “Always On My Mind,” “It’s All Going To Pot,” “On The Road Again” and more. Members of every act assembled to sit-in with Willie towards the end of the night on a medley of “Will The Circle Be Unbroken,” “I’ll Fly Away” and “I Saw The Light.” Photographer Adam McCullough was in Wantagh Saturday, view his gallery of photos from the Outlaw Music Festival below:
