Musical guest Jack White and host Jack Black wasted little time joining forces on the latest installment of Saturday Night Live. The Jacks teamed up for a reworked version of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” during Black’s monologue before White delivered live debuts of his two new songs later in the episode.
Jack Black entered Saturday Night Live’s “Five-Timers Club” on Saturday with his fifth time hosting the legendary program. White was already a member having served as the musicial guest five times prior, including his SNL debut with Meg White as The White Stripes in 2002.
The monologue saw Jonah Hill welcome Jack Black to the “Five-Timers Club.” Hill brought Black to the club’s lounge, which has fallen upon hard times. Fellow five-timers Candice Bergman, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey and Jack White also greet Black at the lounge. Black decides to fix the lounge by “singing the world’s most rocking song.” White returns along with a choir of marching wizards to back Black on a “Seven Nation Army” featuring lyrics revised for the occasion.
Jack White devoted his SNL performances to the two new songs he released one day prior: “Derecho Demonico” and “G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs.” White was accompanied on both tunes by keyboardist Bobby Emmett, bassist Dominic Davis and drummer Patrick Keeler.
Next up for Jack White is a European tour. He’ll then headline the 2026 Borderland Festival in September.
