Sarah Jarosz Performs ‘I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas’ On ‘Live From Here’

Live From Here contributor Sarah Jarosz delivered a performance of the holiday classic “I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas” during a recent episode of the public radio program at The Town Hall in New York City.

John Rox wrote the song for 10-year-old Gayla Peevey to perform in 1953. For the Live From Here performance, Jarosz welcomed host Chris Thile on mandolin, musical director and bassist Mike Elizondo, drummer Eric Doob, guitarist Chris Eldridge, fiddler Alex Hargreaves and keyboardist Brett Williams as well as Live From Here regular and Vulfpeck collaborator Cory Wong on guitar.
