Ryan Adams was the musical guest on Thursday night’s episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden. The guitarist and his band played a song from his just released 16th studio album Prisoner.

Earlier in the episode host James Corden explained that he obsessively played Adams’ song “Come Pick Me Up” following being dumped by a girlfriend several years ago. Adams was again supported by a backing band made up of keyboardist Ben Alleman, drummer Nate Lotz, bassist Charlie Stavish and guitarist Benny Yurco of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. The singer-songwriter and the group will tour extensively in the coming months in support of Prisoner.
