On June 9 The Rolling Stones will issue a remastered and expanded version of their classic 1971 album, Sticky Fingers. An alternative version of one of the album’s most recognizable tunes, “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking,” has been released in advance of the reissue.

Trimmed down from the 7:17 version that appeared on the original LP, the newly released “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” clocks in at a slim 3:24 and lacks Bobby Keys’ well-known sax soloing and the song’s closing vamp. Listen to the alternative take below as well as the previously shared “Wild Horses (Acoustic Version).”
The Rolling Stones upcoming Zip Code North American Tour begins at Petco Park in San Diego on May 24. It’s been rumored, but as of yet not confirmed, that Sticky Fingers will be played in its entirety each night of the tour.
