The Rolling Stones Fit 2 Tour Debuts Into Dusseldorf Stop

Famed rockers The Rolling Stones brought the No Filter tour of Europe to Espirit Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany on Monday night. The band continues to mine their repertoire for gold as last night’s concert featured the tour debuts of two classics.
Each show on the No Filter tour has followed a similar pattern and the Dusseldorf concert was no exception. The Stones opened with a run of “Sympathy For The Devil,” “It’s Only Rock & Roll (But I Like It)” and “Tumbling Dice” before they treated the crowd to a pair of blues covers off their 2016 Blue & Lonesome release. It’s the next part of the night when the band mixes the setlist up.
On Monday, Mick Jagger & Co. dusted off “Bitch.” The Sticky Fingers rocker was last performed on February 26, 2016 in Brazil. Next, Jagger mentioned it was time to perform a song voted on by fans in online voting. “Get Off My Cloud” won out over “When The Whip Comes Down,” “You Got Me Rocking” and “Respectable.” The Rolling Stones brought the 1965 single back for the first time since their set at last year’s Desert Trip festival.
The Rolling Stones’ performance in Dusseldorf rolled on with hits “Paint It Black” and “Honky Tonk Woman” ahead of Keith Richards‘ turn fronting the group on “Happy” and “Slipping Away.” More hits followed including “Street Fighting Man” and “Brown Sugar.” All told, the band played an 18-song main set along with an encore of “Gimme Shelter” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
