Gigi Perez, SNACKTIME & Taylor Meier Join Mt. Joy At Madison Square Garden

Mt. Joy brought out multiple guests during their show Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Gigi Perez, SNACKTIME and Caamp's Taylor Meier each joined the band at points throughout the performance.

“A couple of years ago I had the chance to meet a North Jersey native who is unbelievably talented,” Mt. Joy frontman Matt Quinn told the MSG crowd. “And we sat down and we wrote a song and she blew me away. And we just are fortunate that she’s one of the great people that live here in New York City.”

The co-written song, “In the Middle,” from Mt. Joy’s 2025 album, Hope We Have Fun, was then performed by the pair leading the band. Perez, who previously performed “In the Middle” with Mt. Joy at Governors Ball 2025, returned later in the Madison Square Garden set for “Silver Lining,” where she performed alongside SNACKTIME.

Taylor Meier, frontman of Ohio folk-rock band Caamp, joined Mt. Joy for a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” The pairing marked the latest collaboration between the two bands who have crossmingled on stage multiple times prior.

SNACKTIME, a fellow Philadelphia-born band, also joined Mt. Joy for “Pink Lady” and “Lucy.” The two groups who have also crossed paths on the live stage before worked up a medley of “Julia” and The Flaming Lips’ “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots” and Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy.”

Mt. Joy’s MSG set also included covers of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ “Mary Jane’s Last Dance,” Frank Ocean’s “Pink + White,” Harry Styles’ “As It Was” and the Grateful Dead’s “Fire on the Mountain.” Mt. Joy closed the main set with the aforementioned “Silver Lining,” which included Meier returning to the stage, before ending with a two-song encore of “Bathroom Light” and “Astrovan.”
