The Rolling Stones Announce ‘On Air’ Collection Of Rare Radio Recordings

Legendary rockers The Rolling Stones have collected a series of rarely heard radio recordings from 1963 – 1965 for the upcoming release of On Air. The compilation includes eight songs the band had never previously released commercially. On Air is due December 1 via Polydor Records/UMe and is currently available for pre-order.

Both standard and deluxe editions of the compilations are set for release. While the standard version includes 18 tracks, an additional 14 songs will be featured on deluxe versions. The songs were originally broadcast on a series of UK BBC shows such as Saturday Club, Top Gear, Rhythm & Blues and The Joe Loss Pop Show during the group’s early years. A version of “Come On” recorded in 1963 for Saturday Club has been issued as the first track from the album.
